Redwood Gathering

The Redwood Gathering began in 2001 when 26 people with a dream launched Kawartha Community Church in a small classroom.  Led by teaching pastor Scott Wheeler, the Redwood Gathering has continued to be a place of learning for people who do not have a church background.  Come to the Redwood Gathering if you do not have a church background and value practical “how to” teaching, authenticity and strong community. 
Time: Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. at Sir Sandford Fleming College on Brealey Drive in the Whetung Theatre (inside the main entrance and up the stairs on the right).

Cedarside Gathering

Launched in 2004, Cedarside was the second plant of KCC.  Led by Teaching Pastor Aaron Holbrough, Cedarside continues to be a “safe place” to investigate the teachings of Jesus.  Come to Cedarside if you do not have a church background and value relevance, community and authenticity.
Time: Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. at Sir Sandford Fleming College on Brealey Drive in lecture theatre 374 near the school cafeteria (through the main lobby and down the stairs).

Treehouse Gathering

Launched in 2004, Treehouse is our Gathering made up of Kids!  Led by Teaching Pastor Jill Stephens, this dynamic place of learning connects kids with God.  Come to Treehouse if you are under eleven (or are really short)  and are seeking to learn about God.
Time: Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. at Sir Sandford Fleming College on Brealey Drive (in the 500 level classrooms just inside the main entrance and up the stairs on the right).

Willow Grove Gathering

The Willow Grove Gathering was launched in 2005.  Led by Teaching pastor and author Steve Kennedy, Willow Grove is our latest church plant at the Sir Sandford location.  Come to Willow Grove if you do not have a church background and want to learn in an authentic, grounded environment.
Time: Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. at Sir Sandford Fleming College on Brealey Drive (in room 3700 in the new wing of the college).

Asian Outreach Canada

Siberian church plant
Launched in Siberia in 2006, Kawartha Community Church is supporting and fully funding church planting to the Mongolian people in the Russian area around Siberia.  Rentsen-Ochir is the planter and teaching pastor in this remote area.  Rentsen has already planted three Gatherings in that area!

The Salvation Army

Local Prisons
Sent out in 2006, Kawartha Community Church’s own Siggi Buschaus accepted a position to work for the Salvation Army  inside the prisons in the Kawartha regions and work with the prison community on issues of anger management and crime prevention.  Siggi can be contacted at siggyb@ptbotemple.org


Teen Challenge - Thunder Bay

Sent out in 2006, Kawartha Community Church’s own Bill and Carrie Simard (and Jay J) set out to begin and establish Teen Challenge in the city of Thunder bay to help drug addicts in that city.  Bill and Carrie can be contacted at: b_c_simard@yahoo.ca
